Holiday in Cardiff Anytime

Diane from Eastbourne grew up in Cardiff, Wales and often returns there for a weeks holiday. She writes :-

"Why leave the UK?
I may be biased because it is my home-town, but for me you can't beat a holiday in Cardiff. It has a vibrant, exciting University City Centre, with many Shopping Arcades. The Civic Centre is beautiful, housing the National Museum of Wales, City Hall and other lovely buildings. Cardiff Castle is so interesting, and has wonderful parks and gardens around it. Other Parks are around the town.

Cardiff City has several Theatres and Concert Halls, and the Cardiff Bay area is still growing. It also is home to the Millennium Stadium where all sorts of important sports events take place, as well as the occasional Concert.

Eating is fun - there is the recently renovated Brewery Quarter as well as many restaurants for all tastes. Large or small Hotels, Guest Houses etc can be found easily.

Whilst on holiday in Cardiff, there are plenty of places to visit outside of the City, especially the Welsh Folk Museum (outdoors) at St Fagans, just a few miles away. Beaches are nearby, as is the lovely welsh countryside.
